Review of TravelInsuranceQuotes.ca

Whether you’re a Canadian business owner or an entrepreneur simply in Canada on business, it would be a good idea to carry travel insurance when you’re in the country on a business trip. TravelInsuranceQuotes.ca is a site devoted to Canadian travel insurance offering insurance quotes, plan comparisons, and articles on travel insurance in Canada.

Highlights

  • The site offers a nice FAQ section that covers most basic questions about travel insurance needs in Canada for business travelers and others, offering information on topics ranging from when you should get the travel insurance to the difference between travel protection and travel medical insurance.
  • The company seems to offer travel insurance quotes for a wide enough variety of plans to address the needs of both Canadian citizens and international business travelers. The simple fact that the site offers a toll free number (a nice feature for international travelers especially) and a live chat option for getting support goes a long way towards building some credibility.
  • The articles section of the site includes several comprehensive purchasing guides specifically tailored to different groups such as visitors, seniors, and international students.

Suggestions

  • At the moment, there seems to be an error appearing near the site’s footer, where it looks like it should be displaying recent news. However, I wouldn’t consider that a major flaw, as I’m sure it would be easy enough to rectify.
  • The gray type, while large enough, is a bit on the light side. As a reader being presented with a lot of text-heavy information, having the font a shade darker might help to improve the readability (or at least how much I would read at once) a bit.
  • The only other suggestion I would really make would be to add a purchasing guide specifically targeting business travelers. While the health and trip insurance itself is useful to that audience, I’d be interested in seeing more there about protection in other situations (like if documents were lost or damaged somehow), if electronics or equipment were lost or damaged, and other information specifically relevant to a business traveler in Canada.
